Phillips has back to back Spec Miata wins at Wheels of America/SCCA event !March 27 / 28, 2004 at TWS
"Saturdays race was pretty tough - you could have put a blanket on the first 4 cars - we were all so close together." ....stated John... "All our times were very close - since I set up most of the cars on the track, I knew they would all handle well. It became a drivers race. Some of these guys are getting good. That is what is it all about! Good, close, clean racing!" Special thanks to car owner OJ Young. OJ is out for a while, so he was happy to have John drive his car. "It was fantastic seeing my car beat those guy for wins on both Saturday and Sunday. John did a great job and it was exciting to watch both races." Congratulations to John and his crew.

The weekend was topped off with a 3rd win in the Showroom stock, SSC race. John covered the field on the dry, then wet, then dry again, track. WOW! Great job!
